上海喬家柵

Write a short essay about your field trip today. Describe how you got there, how many people were at your table, and what you had to eat. What was your favorite dish and what did you think overall about the field trip? Did you feel that your field trip helped you to study Chinese? What would you suggest to make it even better?

Food for thought

We've been studying words for food and you will soon see the movie about eating and cooking in China. I hope you noticed how different the food is and the way it is cooked and eaten in China.

Read the article on the right and then write down what you think are the four key differences between American and Chinese food, cooking and eating. Think about the way food is prepared, how and where it is eaten, and what people use to eat it.

We will talk a little about this in class on Thursday and I would like to review your work on the following Tuesday(01/19) in class before we leave for field trip.
